HONOREES

This year, we will honor Admiral Patrick M. Walsh with the Sun & Star Legacy Award for his leadership as Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. We celebrate the efforts of Admiral Walsh and the men and women who worked alongside the Japan Self-Defense Forces during Operation Tomodachi, the U.S. Armed Forces relief effort launched after the devastating Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in March 2011.

Mr. Shogo Kamei, President of the Tohoku Japan America Association and retired Chairman of Kamei Corporation in Sendai, will receive the Bridges-to-Friendship Award for his dedicated support of the Dallas/Sendai International Friendship Cities relationship, now in its 15th year.
