2012 Japan-America Grassroots Summit in North Texas

North Texas will host the 22nd Japan-America Grassroots Summit
from August 28 to September 3, 2012. Opening in Fort Worth and
closing in Dallas, the Summit will bring together 150-200 Japanese
visitors with as many host families in 15 cities across North Texas.
Participants will experience Texas culture from its cowboy heritage to
its stellar achievements in arts, business, sports, and education. The
2012 Summit will impact the lives of hundreds of North Texans.

The 22nd America-Japan Grassroots Summit is organized by the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth and the John Manjiro Whitfield Commemorative Center for International Exchange (CIE) in Japan and the U.S. It is presented in cooperation with the Consulate-General of Japan in Houston, host cities, and community organizations.

What is the Grassroots Summit?

the two countries by fostering friendships at the grassroots level.
